Car locks and reasonless chimes in car

I have a late year 2003 X-type 2.5 with about 36XXX miles on it. Recently, we've been seeing the remotes not always unlocking the doors; sometimes they work, sometimes not. Additionally, my wife had the car chimes start ringing, but usual reasons (key in ignition, lights on, etc.) were not the culprit. Sounds like electrical issues starting to occur? Any comments?

We have the 100K extra warranty on the car. Anybody know if electrical problems are covered under it? I haven't contacted the Jag dealer yet.

Hey mike welcome...I'd take it in to them if you have a near by jag dealer...they did have a recall/bulletin on the keyfobs...mine had to be either reprogrammed or new ones but they did it for free...not sure if it is for your year for sure or not...I'd take it in have them change the battery or look at it...it should be covered but be careful because if it doesn't do it while you are there they may try charging you...good luck keep us all informed...
