Caster problem?
Hey guys, im new to the forum and had a question. I just bought a 2002 x-type 2.5. Upon buying the car the carfax checked out fine and all seemed pretty legit. There was some uneven tire wear on right front but figured it was just out of alignment. Got car aligned, but the right front caster came in at 0.8 and exceptable range they said was 1.7-3.2 which puts me a full degree pushed back from where it should be. As i then dug deeper into the car, i found evidence of a right front accident, there was some bending of the backside of the headlight casing and you could see thay had bent it back to as good as they could. What i would like to know is there an easy remedie to getting this caster closer to spec. Only paid 6000 for the car with 61000 miles and everything else is in great shape. There also is a little noise coming from the right front wheel well. Im trying to not spend much money to get this fixed, any help would be appreciated.

Hey Abelseth, not sure how recewntly you bought the car or was there any warranty....30 day, 60 day etc etc with the car? If so, are you still within that period?
I'd say that you should be lookin to take the car back and ask them to put it right!!
If the answer to any of the above is no.....I'm guessin from what you've written that other than that you're quite happy with the vehicle and just wanna fix it?
Post it up in the general tech help section or have a look in the regional section and see if there's any techs near you that could help.
Sorry I can't be more help
