I have a y disc multi changer in the boot of my x type and i cant get the cartridge out. If i press the eject button it clicks but the cartridge doesn't eject and the sceen on the radio is saying theres no cartridge in there but its definately in there but just wont eject.

Anybody had this happen and how did you cure it ?

 

one of the disc's is still in the player section and can't be transferred back to the magazine. try unplugging the small power plug on the back and giving it a thump and then reconnect power.

 

Just bought the car and i'm sure there are no cds in there. Will have a looky see tomorrow.

 

Give the unit a thump as you press the eject button, sounds like one of the trays is partly out of the magazine into the player either with a disc or without.

 

Or you could take it out, open it up, push a little gear into right position again, tighten the screw and it will be working fine again for a long time. There should be some kind of a guide somewhere on this forum for it.
