CD Error on 2005 X-Type

CD Error on 2005 X-Type
Hi
Completely out of the blue, my X-type has started to display CD Error when trying to play a CD. I have tried a CD Lens cleaner which made no difference at all. When you insert a CD it stays in for a minute or two the ejects with the CD Error message on the display.
Any thoughts
