CDC Error?

CDC Error?
CD Changer stopped working today. Just got to the end of a CD, froze and now gives me a CDC error when I try to play it.
I removed changer and all CD's were there. Changer goes in and out without any problems. Radio and Tape still work so I do not think it is a fuse. I did not hit a bump - it just froze up.
Is there a way to reset it or does anyone have any ideas?
As always thanks for your time!

Hi all,
I today have now a similar problem. "CDC error" is displayed. My cartridge is not released when "eject" button is pressed. My CDs are inside of the jammed cartridge. Before I fiddle the changer with a screwdriver, I would like to hear from any advice in here first about doing the fiddling manually.
Any advice, please? Any ideas, please? Do you think it's a weak battery?
Thanks in advance!

Hi all.
In the end, I used a tiny thin screwdriver around the cartridge whilst pressing the eject button. After a few attempts of fiddling, eventually, the cartridge came out.
I put it back on into the case slot, and... IT'S WORKING NOW, as it should be: the CDs are playing OK now.
No more CDC error... until the next time!
I think I will keep the tiny thin screwdriver inside my car for future use.
Thanks anyway!

CDC Error
Had the CDC Error message come up on my S Type 2.7D 2005. Searched around for a while and a guy told me to GENTLY tap the CD magazine, as this may release a disc that has become stuck.
So, I did what he said,I tapped the magazine with the handle of a screwdriver, and, hey presto, all the discs loaded, and its working fine now.
Hope this helps someone out there
