You need a tool to retract the piston back into the caliper. Because the emergency brake is built in you need to rotate and push the piston to get it back in.

Snap-On, MAC, Matco, probably NAPA>
The one I have is a cube, with a 3/8" square drive in all sides, and various ears on the sides.
You put an extension and ratchet into the opposide square hole, press and rotate, WITH the bleeder screw open, as you never, as in ever, want to push old fluid back through an anti-lock system.

It gets real expensive, real fast.

NAPA SER 3163, Disc Brake Piston Tool.

Not to start an arugument but there is no issue with pushing the fluid back to the master cylinder. There is no problem with opening the bleeder either. I have never had a problem with just pushing the fluid back. You will also note that the instructions with the tool posted above make no mention of opening the bleeder. Note that you will want to bleed the whole system if you do open the bleeders.
