Default X-TYPE prices...

Are the prices pretty accurate with KBB and NADA?

I have a 2004 awd x-type black/black leather, fully loaded with nav, heated seats, homelink, power everything, etc. It has 54k miles and the interior/exterior are perfect, not even a door ding.

I guess the point of this thread is a price check. What do you guys think it would go for?

Thanks for the replies and sorry it took so long to respond.

My car is a 3.0. Just had it buffed too, it looks great!

Reason I ask is because I would like a new car around March of next year. Currently I owe 15.5k on it, but not sure I can even get what I owe when I do decide to sell.

Auto or standard?

Car is 5 model years old and out of warranty (except for corrosion). An X-type enthusiast might give you a good look if it was a manual and you were asking around what you owe.

Other than that, in this economy I'd say you might get $12-14k selling it outright and less in a trade-in.

Just a guess, I'll be putting mine up for sale next spring too, but I'd be shocked if I could pull $8k for it.

I was never planning to sell my car, but am shocked to see 06 X-Types under $10K. Also as a note West Herr Jaguar is selling a 2004 XJ for 17K.... I might be getting one at that price

I hear you on that. The car has been great and reliable, just ready to move on. I should have researched this more when I purchased as I will have made payments for almost 2 years and I cannot sell for what I owe right now due to loss in value. It sucks

edit: car is an auto

Don't feel too bad, just about any car that was bought in the last few years isn't worth what is owed now, with a few exceptions.

I realized about a decade ago that the longest I can ever go with the same car is about 3 years before I just can't stand it and have to get something else. So plan accordingly!

I just bought an '04 3.0 just like yours (without the nav system) with 30K miles in mint condition and I paid 11K. Probably paid to much, but with the low miles I jumped on it.

I paid WAY less than what you owe on your car for a dealer certified 2005 3.0 with 22000 miles, in perfect condition.

Ok, you're the person I'm calling when I get my next car.

Mine was dealer certified. Had 4 new tires and new brakes put on by them as well. But yeah..I'm sure a lot of people paid WAY less, but I'm still happy with it.. I also got a 3.99% loan from the Pentagon Fed. Credit Union, so that helps some. I'm pretty sure they're still offering this rate if anyone is car shopping.
