Hey guys,

I don't know too much about the electronics in the X-Types, but would this work as an iPod/iPhone hookup? Looks like you can connect any 3.5mm headphone jack into it. I know you won't be able to charge your iDevice, but would it work to play music through?

ex53436, please include a link to what you are talking about. Then I might be able to help you out and see if it will work with the vehicle or not.

 

I would think you'd have to splice it into the speakers. The actual sound system is fibre optic. Thats why I paid out for an ACM.
An FM Modulator will work. It splices into the antenna, and can easily take a live feed from the cigar lighter. Costs no more than $40-$50 for a good one. See eBay.
If you are an audiophile like me you'll hate the background noise FM Modulators give out.
