I have a 2002 jaguar x type 4 door sedan, and i want to replace the chrome from on the drivers side rear window just the little curved piece. The new curved piece looks like its held on by three small screws. Any help on how to get it on will be appreciated.

 

I believe I read somewhere that the glass has to be removed in order to change that piece.

As for your question, atleast on my 2003, the curved chrome piece is simply held on by double sided tape. Once you get under the trim, you can walk a screw driver around the outside edge and split the tape. From there, you can remove the remaining parts of the tape, apply new tape (in the same spots as the old trim had) to the new piece and then simply place it back into place. Your local auto parts store should have some double sided tape for you to use for this project.
