Hello! I've recently got into the Jaguar game with a 2002 X-Type, so far I'm loving it and have the best time driving in it.
However, I was wondering if there is any way to play music through my phone into the radio. I tried putting an FM transmitter through the cigarette lighter, but that didnt seem to want to power anything but the lighter itself. I was wondering if there was a way to remedy this or play music another way.

Although I have less than a year experience with my Jag, and have read numerous threads about various options for Bluetooth in the forum, I opted for an aftermarket product by JagBT - which is a stand alone amp and Bluetooth receiver that is effectively a plug and play box between your cd player and amp in the x type non premium factory configuration. I’m very happy with the unit and it takes very little time to install, and offers a very clean Bluetooth connection with both my iPhone and numerous Android devices. It’s an option I would recommend looking at for under $150 dollars. I believe more info can be found at JAGBT.Com. Hope this helps 👍
