Default Clunk Sound 2003 X Type

I have been getting a bit of a faint clunk type sound when braking hard and when pulling away from a complete stop. Like a rubber mallet lightly striking the floor.. It sounds almost as if it is coming from under the car.... I have had the car in the air and suspension wise it appears to be fairly tight... Any ideas??? Would love some feedback from the forum...

typically the forward control arms have a look at the front suspension if you see the forward most bushing leaking a dark fluid then thats the problem

i have a pair if your interested

How big of a job are they to replace in regards to specialized tools and time ?? What is the cost of the control arms??? Are you willing to ship yours????

Thanx

Turned out it was the control arm on the drivers side that caused the clunking sound I was having..
