Ace, one of your big problems is you have 2 wheels speed sensors (C1145/C1155) that are causing your computers to have issues in knowing what to do. The tranny computer can not figure out what the true speed of the car is, therefore does not know how/where to shift the car.

The P1000 code is something that you can ignore.

The P0171/P0174 codes are saying that you have a vacuum leak and I would check your pCV valve hose running from the valve cover to the intake for a crack on the backside leading to this code. Otherwise, you most likely have a rip in the boot between the MAF sensor and the throttle body.

The P1637/1638/1642 are a communications issue and you may have a fault with the ECU or the instrument cluster. Granted, based on the number of problems that you are having, i would be leaning more towards an ECU issue.

The other thing that I would check is the wiring harness going down the driver's side of your car that has the MAF sensor/intake temp sensor, and an assortment of other sensors in the wire bundle. If that bundle has gotten damaged, it can be causing the problems that you are seeing.

I would also have a voltage check done of your electrical system. If you battery is starting to go, it can cause problems like you are seeing and it can send you down the wrong path.

Download JTIS from the HOW-TO section, it is an iessential source of knowledge.
Take Chris's valuable advice - get your battery checked FIRST. Such a plethora of faults makes me wonder if it is all down to a dying battery. Jaguars are very sensitive to battery voltage.
