Default Cold air intake

I wanted to know what everyone thought about adding a Cold air intake system to my 04 Jagauar. Is it worth it?

Only if you get a TRUE cold air intake. The stock air box is pretty good. You can get a drop in K&N panel filter and gain the same results as a full CAI. Also, MOST CAI are infact a hot air intake... food for thought. Post a link or pictures of what your looking at for advise.

They look really cool, but you will not gain anything like what you want. The K&N filter will do as much as the CAI, and for a fraction of the cost...Just my 2 centgs...

This has been thoroughly discussed over the past months and even included some very nice pictures and parts-lists of designs that that have been done.

Bottom line, they look cool, and will change (improve?) the way the engine sounds but their effects will be minor and will probably actually hurt engine performance.
