Hi guys. Just to throw this out there, I'm a complete newb with installing aftermarket head units or doing anything with the wiring inside a vehicle, actually. That being said, I'm curious if anyone has done a complete revamp on their climate control/radio area. I've seen people replace the stereo with an aftermarket, but I don't really like the location of the stereo area (below the climate control section).

Below is a picture of what I'm hoping to achieve. I assume you would need a complete, custom, aftermarket set up, including a new climate control unit. Has anyone tried this, or know if it's even possible? Any stories or links would be absolutely awesome. Thanks guys!

For enough money ANYTHING is possible. The choice is yours. My choice would be a member "Dennis Black" change if I ever did do a change which I've never contemplated.

 

Have you seen an X-Type with the factory navigation screen? If not, look it up. Also, use the search feature on here. There a all kinds of threads about replacing the sound system. That should give you plenty of ideas.
