Ok, I've been looking and looking trying to determine which suspension will best suit my needs. A couple of you on here know that I'm a track junkie and I want to get into hill climbs this year, too. So performance is high on my list.

What I'm looking for is reviews of everybody's suspension. Particularly I'm interested in the KW coilover setup, Mina Gallery and Arden and whatever everybody else has. I'm especially curious if there are any appreciable differences between the Mina and Arden setups because if you read the descriptions they are almost the same exact thing.

My concerns are this car is my daily driver as of right now so it can't be rock hard in it's ride and we do get quite a bit of snow up here in NH and Mass. I'm thinking something just over an inch drop would be good for me. I'm also concerned over possible rubbing issues with my wheel/tire setup. I am running 17x8.5" wheels with a +42 offset and 245/40 series tires.

I love my KWs. With the right wheel/tire setup it completely transforms the way the car handles. The Mina gallery setup is just a spring/shock combo. Looks like Bilsteins and rebadged springs.

 

How would you say the X-Type with KWs compare to say an e46 330i or even 325i? If you've driven one by any chance..
