Coolant Change
What are you using when you change the coolant.
I've been looking at aftermarket places for the genuine Jag stuffand the prices are still rediculous @ $12.60 to $12.91 a liter. That's $113 plus for the DIY change.
What brands out there are appropriate for our cars. Is it OK to use any of the brands that say they are safe for use in aluminum engines? I guess I'll stay aways from Dex Cool for now.

Sorry I had a senior moment. The cost would be for 5 liters since you fill 50/50 but that's still $63 or so. Here's hoping there are other market brands out there that will work just as good as Jaguar's.

Green Machine,
Check your owners manual for the coolant specification number. You'll find that the Prestone Extended Life Dex-Cool (50-50 premix) matches the same spec. One gallon will set you back about $11 from Walmart.

Thank you BenP. I did recheck my owner manual and the Coolant # WSS M97B44 is a Ford part # and Prestone Long Life 50/50 lists that number in their specs, for vehicles with aluminum components.
