Default Coolant leak

Hi all,
I have an 03 xtype 2.5. Just replaced the thermostat and water outlet gaskets. 1 of the 3 bolts on thermostat stripped out. I also used liqued gasket maker on both parts. On the thermostat it is platic with metal rings inside where bolts go in as to not crack plastic. One of the metal bushings?? Tgat the bolts drive into sripped out and cannot get bolt tight. What is this bushing?? Called? And do i need to rethread the manifold bolt housing? Thanks any help is appreciated!

its a brass insert that was molded into the plastic housing when made. you could drill it out and use a nut and bolt, but better to just buy a new housing.
