Just thought I'd drop a current picture of the set up. I like the red a lot, what do you guys think?

Thanks 04! I feel like it needs just a little bit more red somewhere, any suggestions? Its already super bold so I don't want it to be too over powering!

I'm for sure doing a projector retrofit into the high beam housing with a white inner halo and a red outer halo with red demon eye mod on the retrofit projector and also behind the factory low beam lens and I'm going to drill out evenly spaced holes around the lens in the factory low beam shroud and back light it with a red led, to act as an outer halo, with each light mod on its own switch. I'm going to paint the inners of the headlights quartz metallic to body match and paint the chrome shroud on the retrofit projector red.

This is going down soon!

Red demon eyes would be cool. Here's some other ideas from other members:

1) A Mina grill with red LED backlight: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-grille-97038/

2) Trunk accent JAGUAR letters backlit red: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-x-type-90761/

3) Trunk accent JAGUAR letters painted red: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...13/#post685598

4) Side mirrors backlit with red lights: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...61/#post686411

Thanks dw! I think I've read every damn thread on this forum that has anything to do with the X lol so I've seen those thread too. I like the Mina grill backlight from acapiz! I'm not sure if red will work as well though! I was thinking about doing the top of the mirror caps in red too...

Then again I just don't want too much!

Red tow hook, re growler badge for the grill. I doubt most jag owners like the flash of the red wheels but I think its nice to see people stepping out of the norm with their X.

The sway bars are easily the best addition to the x type. This thing is a completely different animal and I havent even stepped it up to the stiffest settings yet. So far I'm not having any issues with everything I did and I'm enjoying a short run until I do the flares. I'm back and forth a lot on decisions haha but for now I'm happy to just be driving it around again. It took a ton of work to get the 265s to fit the rear but I didn't have to do anything more to the front than what I did for my last set up for it to clear.

What are those things on the roof?

Have any more pictures of that baby blue Maverick in the background?

They are called vortex generators. They are supposed to improve the air flow patterns and promote better handling but I also just like the way they look lol not sure if they actually do anything...

As for the Maverick, ask and you shall receive...

Lol thanks buddy but you don't have to be old to appreciate a nice classic...

No, I've done some work to it recently but my father and I got it from my Grandfather's estate when he passed away a couple years ago. I did some small things helping my grandpa restore this car when I was just a pup so it's nice to see it sitting in my driveway everyday to remind me of him. I put the wheels on it but it's all original with a small restoration done on it back in 2010ish. Super clean and really low miles on the 302. When the jag is done next year I'll be ripping into the Mav pretty heavy but for now she just gets those random short Sunday drive miles to keep her fluids moving and to make sure she's still breathing.

Using this thread as kind of an area to update. Went black with the wheels again and I love it. Went to Goodridge lines, definitely an upgrade over the old stretched out rubber lines...

Canards, front lip, front splitter, front winglets, side splitters and rear winglets are all on order. Tried making my own ducktail spoiler but it's a lot harder than I thought it would be lol can't decide on the more aggressive boot lip on ebay or a big carbon fiber gt style wing...

I'm happy with the progress so far. Still stacking motor build parts and hoping to have the bulk of it by end of the season so I can try to get it boosted over the winter. $$ are just freaking flying out of the window haha

Thank you man. I'm sure you can tell by the way I randomly update with pictures that I'm pretty proud of my car lol

My next big purchase is either going to be coilovers or wilwood 6pots and 14" rotors 😈🤘

Flares, diy front lip, and carbon fiber side splitters on. Wing and craft square F1 style carbon fiber mirrors go on tonight.
