Default CV Drive Axle Shafts

Does anyone have experience replacing non OEM CV Drive Axle Shafts on their X-types? Are they reliable, do they contain the proper reluctor rings, etc? I've seen these ones 02 07 Jaguar x Type AWD New Right CV Drive Axle Shaft | eBay

Any particular brands to recommend? Thanks!

I used to own a 2003 3.0 X-Type that had the RF CV joint replaced at 100,000 miles. (I got ripped off by that shop, but that's another story.)

Anyway, at 130,000 miles, I took her to the local Ford dealer for an alignment. They said that same CV Joint needed replacing again. They also said they couldn't get the camber in spec until they rebuilt half the front suspension, and even then there was no guarantees, seeing how I'd hit a hog the year before.

I traded the Jag in on a 2004 Grand Marquis that day, and swore never again. Last week, I bought another Jaguar!

I cannot comment on the aftermarket shafts, but make sure that whoever fits it knows what they are doing. The transfer box needs to be removed from the car BEFORE the intermediate shaft is removed from it, otherwise an internal seal is damaged and oil leaks from the gearbox into the transfer box.

That right side intermediate shaft wants to come right out of the transfer case. Don't let it. That's fatal. I posted pictures and text of how I did mine. Search my posts. I bet there are a dozen threads on this subject in this forum.
