Default didn't expect this to do that.

after the trannyfluid change (no puns intended)
i still had a tranny issue (see above)
semi-hard acceleration would make 2nd to 3rd shift quite clunky, enough so i didnt "encourage" it.

t'other day i was waiting for some penetrating fluid to do its stuff so while waiting figured id clean the throttle body and MAF.

omg f me when i took it for a spin later after all the penetrating was over and done with the shift issue was only a lingering memory.

i told my super clever tech friend while getting shitfaced drunk the other night and he explained in detail why this happened.
i cant remember most of it but if your tranny is acting up either slap it or clean your throttle body.... oh yeah, btw.... it was the throttle body cleaning not the MAF cleaning that got that tranny acting right 😉

Did you have any codes or the dreaded stuck in high gear and limp mode?

nope, just a dodgy gear shift between 2nd-3rd under hard acceleration.
rpms would race up and the shift happened late.
has not done it since the tb cleaning

iownme, with the newer "drive by wire" cars, when the car goes to shift, the computer will drive the throttle shut to reduce the engine power, let the tranny shift, then the computer will then open the throttle back up to restore the acceleration that is called for. If your throttle body is sticking (ie, it being dirty), the engine will not lower in power like it needs to and the tranny then shifts under a heavier load, leading to the "clunk".

Oh sure, play with a tranny and then find something semi-hard. Do we need to talk about the birds and the bees. LMAO. Giving you a "hard" time. He he he he he he he.
