My 02 X type sport just started acting up. When I push the lock button, nothing happens til I hit it twice. On the second push, the lights flash, but the doors don't lock. When i hit the unlock button, the lights flash, but the doors don't unlock. Doors also don't auto lock when the car is driving. The only way to lock the door is to individually lock each door, and then unlock the driver door with the key. The trunk doesn't unlock at all. Only way to unlock trunk is to climb in through the back seat and pull the emergency latch. I've only got one key fob, so can't compare two different fobs. If I plug in an OBD code reader, will that tell me anything? Any ideas???

 

Turned out to be a blown fuse - fuse #24 in the drivers side engine compartment fuse box. It immediately blew again. I opened and shut all doors, blew out the spot where the fuse goes in with a little air, crossed my fingers and put in another 15 amp fuse. This time the fuse didn't blow (locked/unlocked 10 times). Keeping my fingers crossed.
