G'Day from the land down south.
I know this was a very long time ago, but did you ever sort out your CAN bus issues? I am just starting down the path, having recently copped the dreaded P1638 error code. Its very intermittent in my case and I have a sneaking suspicion it is actually a result of a leak in the trunk (now fixed) causing excessive condensation inside the car..
