Driver's door handle & door trim
Greetings
The travel on my driver's door handle (external) only just releases the door catch. It travels nearly its full swing upwardsbefore the release catch clicks. I would like to move it back to about 3/4 of the travel as on the other doors.
I assume you can adjust the linkage inside the doorto move the release point backdown along the handle's travel? Can anyone advise how to go about it?
I assume to get at the linkage I will need to remove the interior door trim. Oooowwwwwww! Can you give me advise how to do that without breaking any of the trim. The order of removing items and where the hidden studs are etc.
Many thanks for any help.

For removing plasric press fit clips/retainers a tip I got (for my other half's MX5) was to get an old dinner fork. Bend the binner two tangs out to meet the outer ones. The curvature of the fork is ideal for gently levering out those clip retaqiners without damage.

no you can adjust the clip the rod goes into, I used to do it all the time when xtype where under warranty, now no one complains unless they cant get in anymore. If you undoor the white plastic clip from the grey piece to release the rod from the clip, but dont remove it. It slides apart, then push the clips and latch arm down alittle while not letting the rod movde with it. this preloads the latch assembly and returns it to opening like it used to. You can even play with the adjustment to get the door to open with very little movement of the handle. Now next time make sure the doors unlocked before you pull up on the handle which many times cases the rod to get pushed down in the clip and make it hard to open again. If you break the clip or if yours is too worn, its avail seperatly from the latch assembly for a few bucks

Thanks Brutal - itching to have a go at this!

I assume all this is inside the door, so first remove the trim ( Thanks guysfor the linksfor this job!!)
Then I assume all thewhite plastic clips and grey pieces etc arein the top right of the door?
thanks
