Driveshaft Removal

Driveshaft Removal
ummm… so…. I'll fill in a lot more later about what (and how) we're doing in our X-Type engine replacement. We need some immediate help however so here's my question.
We've dropped the subframe/engine/trans out of the car (actually we RAISED the car while the subframe sat on a palette). We had NOT disconnected the driveshaft. We'd only taken the torx bolts out on the front end.
Now we've taken out the rear torx bolts and the center support bearing but for the life of us we cannot figure out HOW to take the drive shaft off the car.
What are we missing?

Right now have the flange soaked in WD-40 - had tried a hammer to the flange side (while holding the spring loaded collar back -as not to mar it)
Have center bearing support OFF
Have Rear 6 bolts out
Have front 6 bolts out
Car is on lift - hope to get response BUT DONE FOR NIGHT !!

Engine OUT !!
HI (mark again working with Petah)
SLEEP on it (and let WD-40 do some work) !
A good smack with a mallet AT THE BACK of the shaft and it dropped ! Once I saw what the joints looked like - I knew I just wasn't hitting to get off before.
SO.......it is now out. Looking at our options as to a motor (don't think we will repair this one) Can push the #1 rod DOWN an inch after bringing to TDC for that cylinder.
THIS forum has been invaluable ! I told Petah that there is a procall as to interaction on forums. SOME of the Mustang ones I visit can be "cold" as the newbe posters don't "introduce themselves" or ONLY visit to ask (without searching)
I'm not a tech - rather an old car guy that "never met" a challenge I wasn't up to trying ! WE tend to give up on things too easy these days. 50 Years ago you fixed everything that broke!
Totally impressed with the car, build and engineering of the X-type. I haven't been around Jags since the mid-eighties - it only took a few warranty Series III motors shy away from the XJ40. (Might have been a mistake)
