Exclamation Driving with flat tire!!!

Today I was meant to be traveling from Manchester to Newcastle but did not get there DUE TO THE PICS below.
I thought there was something wrong with the rear but thought that weights on the rim fell off until my back started wobbling and going sideways, quickly stopped and saw nothing so carried on slowly to the next slip luckily it was only half a mile off. I stopped and wanted to take the wheel off to see what is going on but guess what NO JACK OR WRENCH
Had to wait 3hours to put a new tire on.

Lesson learned-ALWAYS HAVE EQUIPMENT WITH YOU

Drove about 50 miles on a plat tire, well cant do much about it now.

Glad you made t without any further damage.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like that tire was really worm, especially on the edge of that one side. Not sure if that was towards the inside of the car our outside, but if it was towards the insides it could be wearing because of your lower rear control arms being shot. Would the tops of your rear tires happen to be slanting in towards the center of the car? If, so, replace those arms or it wont be long before the new tires look the same. At the very least there appears to be some uneven wear there that you should get checked out.

thanks Alfadude yeah its the inside of the tire that is work firstly I thought it got cut or something but when the guy took it off he said its because iv been driving it flat.
going on to the control arms from what im seeing there is no slanting to the center but will check it tomorrow as its dark now.
Ohhh yes I was very very lucky that I did not get a blow out further on the tire was very hot for a road tire, when I stopped on the motorway the rear left(the one that broke) was steaming, the rest was ok just normal operating temp, in uk it was only about 10*C and was heavy raining, was very lucky that I slowed down as Was pushing hard in some places.
