EBC brakes shudders

EBC brakes shudders
I recently replaced myfront rotors and brakes with EBC. 3 thousand miles later, i have a severe shudder when i step on my brakes. i check to find all sorts on crap sticking to the pads on inspection. cleaned it out and hoping for the best. My problem is i am unable to install the rears because the EBC BRAKES LISTED for 2005 does seem small for the size of my calipers. i have reordered ..same thing. I called jaguar to see if they have a different set of calipers installed on my vehicle and they confirm not.
1. Can anyone tell me if they have had such experience
2 Can anyone tell me if i am crazy using slotted rotors in Canada hence the crap build-up
3 Any help will be welcome as i am in the process of replacing all rotors and pads with originals for fear of another costly mistake.
Many thanks all

RE: EBC brakes shudders
I used EBC pads both front and rear, with no fitment problems.
I'm also using the slotted / dimpled rotors (not drilled!) in the cold / snowy Rocky Mtns, and have seen nothing like what you describe. However, our first major snow was this weekend. But I have been using slotted / drilled / dimpled rotors for a long time, and have seen no adverse affects.
What pad are you using?

RE: EBC brakes shudders
What are they claiming is the issue with fitment? Is it width? Heighth?
I've got donuts that says they can't get the piston in the caliper to retract enough to make the thickness of the pad work with the caliper / rotor setup.
If that's the case, this is a problem with the mechanic.... not the part.
See if you can get more info, and / or snap a pic of the caliper.
Better yet: ask your mechanic to show you the new pad compared to the existing one and snap a pic of that.

The rear pads are pretty small, but I've been through 2 sets (1 EBC, 1 Centric) other than the OEM's and have had no fitment problems at all. I agree w/ McJ, your mechanic might not know what he's doing with those rear pistons.
As far as the shuddering goes - first think you could do is check that all of your bolts - caliper yoke bolts, sliders, and lugnuts are property torqued. If any of these are too loose it could create your condition.
As for the dirt buildup - did you get any grease on the pads when you did the change?
