engine oil

Can anyone tell me if using the 5 w / 30 synthetic oil is best for the 2.5L engine? If so which brand is best?Also myx-type has 52,000 miles on it and I'm not sure if the tranny fluid has ever been changed or not so I think I will have it done soon. Any recommendations on good fluid to use?

Go with what manual says .I do use Castrol 5 W 30 and Mobil as well .I like Castrol better

Thanks...Another question, how hard is it to change out the fuel filter on this car?

As I recall , it should be no harder than oil filter . I personally haven't messed up with it .If you're a DIY guy you can easily do that

Only use 5w-30 Magnetex in mine like most dealers in UK do.
