I just purchased a used Xtype 2003. I am in need of an extended warranty. The one on the vehicle is about the expire.

Can anyone recommend a reliable extended warranty company for a 2003 Jaguar X-Type?

 

A warranty on a 15 year old car will cost more than you paid for the vehicle.

 

It was still under warranty after 14 years? What kind of warranty does it have now?

How many miles are currently on the car? I would guess even if you could get an aftermarket extended warranty it would cost a fortune on a car that old for something that would even give you decent coverage. Plus, I would guess there would be some high deductibles too. How much did you even pay for the car? You might consider just putting aside the $2K-$3K or so a warranty might cost every year and see what happens. The car is probably not worth a whole lot more than it would cost you for a warranty for a year or two. I wouldn't do it. Up to you. Good luck.

Not to mention most independent repairers won't touch a warranty job and the warranty company will try and knock back most repairs anyway
