hlotero, depending on the market that you are in, this can be easy, it can be difficult. The radio swap is easy. A few screws, a few plugs and then the radio can go back in. Where the difficulty comes is that in some markets, Jaguar placed security stuff into the radio to make it worthless if you don't have the radio code to reactivate the radio once it has lost power. For example, if you are in the US, then you are golden, no code required. If you are in England, code is required. As for other places, that is going to be hit and miss. This is where you may want to have a piece of paper from the wrecking yard saying that you have legally purchased the radio from car with VIN XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX which has been removed from service and is being dismantled. So, if you should need to get the code, that should be enough to allow jaguar to get you the code. If you do some looking around here, I think there is a way to back door the radio, but I am not recalling what it is.

hlotero, as long as they are all coming out of US market cars, you should be golden. With that being said, you need to replace it with the same model radio. This is not a time that you can go from a basic radio to a NAV radio. The NAV radio has a completely different harness and lots of other stuff that has to be added to make it work correctly. If the face looks the same, then you should be good.

If you find radio outside US there is easy way to bypass radio code:

"Enter any code 3 times so that the display shows "PLEASE WAIT"
Simultaneously press ">>" "PTY" "A.MEM" should only take 2 or 3 seconds and the radio turns on "
