Default Finding a Good Jag Mechanic

I've own my 2002 2.5 Xtype for a couple of months now and I need to get some minor things fixed on it. I live in Maryland near Andrews AFB but I am willing to travel for a great mechanic that I can eventually trust to fix my car.

Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks,

Rob

Rob, if you don't mind about an hour drive, come on down to California, MD and we can do some things right in my driveway. That way you can be garanteed it is done right, you will have first hand knowledge of what got done, and it won't get any cheaper than this.

Let me know what you are looking to do and we can make sure that it is something we can do in my driveway.

Try EUROSPORT AUTO CARE.....NOT far from you on central ave extended (410) 798-0900 They are pretty reasonable. I have a 04 x-type 2.5 5spd. Let me know how it goes.

UK Motors in Felton PA is worth the drive for bigger stuff. Probably an hour and a half for you but if you plan ahead with your maint. it is well worth the drive.

Anyone have a recommendation for a trusted mechanic in the North West suburbs of Chicago?

My 3rd party warranty will run out in a few months so unlikely I'll be bringing it back to the Jag dealer if I can get quality work done cheaper elsewhere

Default My Own Experience in Finding a Good Mechanic...

Please consider to join your local Jaguar Club. I did that as soon as I purchased my car and it has been invaluable! I found a terrific mechanic and support goup. Plus the activities can be fun as well. I am now the Vice President and am really enjoying myself and the fellowship of the members. The Jaguar Club of Ohio has approximately 128 members! Good luck.

Thermo is a great resource. I visited him to install new brakes. Despite the rain, it was very informative and he knows his stuff.

If you want a shop, I go to Top Line Jaguar in Springfield, VA. I've always been treated well, and that's what's most important to me.
