To start things off welcome to the forum. First things first go and have your computer codes ran unless you have your own code reader then post your codes here and someone can or will try to point you in the right path to getting your kitty back to purring. Also do you work on things yourself or do you always have someone else work on things for you ? Doing things yourself saves you allot in repair costs and gets you some one on one time with your cat lol
Lynae, like was said, when it comes to the motor, get the codes read and then post the info you get. Any local auto parts store should be able to read the codes for you. Sounding like you have a vacuum leak, but, the codes will confirm that.
As for the squeaky brakes. This is normally 1 of 2 things. A simple pad check is going to tell you the difference. If you have lots of pads, odds are the pads are vibrating inside the caliper and this can be solved by getting a tube of "pad glue" (found at your local auto parts store, like $4 for an 8 ounce bottle). You will need to pull the pads out of the caliper and put some of the glue on the back of the pads (the side that touches the caliper). Reassemble and make sure to apply the brakes to squeak out the extra glue. This will stop that squeak. If the pads are worn (ie, under 1/8" of pad, then you need to replace the pads to resolve the squeak.
If you have more questions, please, ask away. You are at the right group to help you keep your kitty purring.

You do not have any flashing lights on the dash, do you when the situation happens? If so, do not drive it as it is a misfire bad enough that it will cause damage to your catalytic converter.
