Fitting a tow bar /hitch to a X type Estate

Hi I have bought a tow bar from Ebay for my 2005 Jaguar X-type 2.0 Diesel estate. Has anyone had any experience in fitting one to my type of car?
Any useful advice or tipe would be welcome. Thanks

I'm assuming you're sitting next to the toolbox in sunny Southport just longing to get this fitted today.

It's looking likely the tow bar came without any instructions or you wouldn't be asking the question. Have you tried the manufacturer's website to download fitting instructions?

Hi Graham, Cloudy and it could rain anytime - not fitting it today.
I have downloaded the manufacturers fitting instructions. Just hoping for anyone with experience with an x-type. Thanks

I have the manufacturers instructions for the tow bar. What I am looking for is anyone who has fiitted a tow bar to an x-type estate who has any tips. It looks like I should remove the bumper etc but someone might know from experience an easier way - wishful thinking etc Thanks
