Default Fm antenna bypass question

Good morning.
I just purchased this fm antenna bypass so that I can add an auxiliary input to my 05 x types radio.
https://jet.com/product/detail/c7e5ce8ec7414021ab284318441e381a?jcmp=pla:ggl:high nj_electronics_a3:highnj_electronics_a3:na:na:na:n a:na:2&code=PLA15&k_clickid=f38f06e9-2100-462b-9716-925f86a35a7f&abkId=403-887735&gclid=CL-kxd7YjcsCFYqQHwodxWoEcg

Does anyone know If the antenna in the back of the standard radio is a normal size and not a micro? Should this kit be a pretty straightforward install?

Its not the "standard" size radio input, i had to get an adapter from best buy, they do keep that size in stock

You wouldn't happen to know the name of the product do you? I would rather buy it before hand.

Hi, I just installed the ISimple31 a couple of weeks ago. I have to order 2 adapters, Motorola Female to Euro Male End (Same as Metra 40-EU20, AI EU07, Bestkits BAA23) and Euro Female to Motorola Male End (Same as Metra 40-EU10, AI EU06, Bestkits BAA22) The installation was fairly easy, the only issue was finding where to drill for th on/off switch. I had to drill the hole next to the cigarrette lighter. The sound is good.

Out of curiosity what did you connect the power to? I was going to put the switch and input inside the glovebox to keep the integrity of the interior in case I wanted to remove it someday.

For the power I used the positive of the cigarette lighter (not used for anything) orange color. I left the cable inside the coin tray concealed everything when not in use but easily accessible. By the way I also use the ground of the cigarette lighter with no problems.

I ended up splicing into the power of the cigarette lighter as well, however I grounded it on an actual ground being used by other electronics behind the radio.
