Hi i have a 2004 x-type diesel,after blowing the engine i have swapped it with a ford unit slotted in perfect but it wont start tried everything please if someone has done this can they help me out.

 

Did you use your injectors? If yes then make sure they are in the same order as they were in your old engine. If you used injectors from Ford engine then they have to be programmed to your ECU or else it won't start.

I'm guessing it doesn't turn over at all?

 

Hi Thanks for the reply, Yes have used my own injectors and they are in the correct order but nothing it wont turn over computer shows no fault that should stop it from starting.

 

Does the red light near DSC button/gearshifter flash rapidly? Did you use your high pressure pump?

 

DSC light is not flashing rapidly and yes have used the high pressure pump :/

 

Could the inertia switch have gotten tripped?

 

Reset the inertia switch but still nothing dosent even make an effort to start have hit a brick wall at this stage
