We are currently looking for ways to improve the site.

Anyone with any sensible suggestions that they feel will improve the site or any new sections that members " old or new" feel should be made available, please reply with details.
Hopefully we can expand the site to offer more for everyone.

Well,. I think in fact there is nothing much to promote this site since general outlook , a very useful software and many other cool features are standard in here .
May be a new forum needs to be assigned for the XF models .
I think this is what a car forums has to be

great site. members make this site work! I would like a little more in depth tech stuff. I belonged to a land rover site and maybe those guys are nuts but man... never seemed to stump those guys. just saying. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!! just sayin' thnaks as always. Bill

 

Thanks Bill........I agree with your comments that we could do with more tech info. We've been trying slowly but surely to add to the FAQ section for example, but its a slow process.
We really could do with more Jag techs etc to help add to the communal forum knowledge, but hopefully that will come.

Wish we had a jag mechanic on here that we could bs with about all of our problems...be a good way to get a tech section rolling along....also some money to fix all of my problems with my car would help with adding stuff to a tech section!

Techs get paid for what they know not what they do. You, I, or anyone can do they work they do. We can turn the wrech, etc. You pay them for the knowlegde of which item to replace. That's why you don't see too many techs on forums. Really, in a sense, we cut into their living.

Look at from their point of view. Come home after a long day and tell the wife, "Hi, babe! Didn't make in money today but I told a guy how to do it himself so he didn't have to pay me to do it." I don't think that would go over well in my house.

I started on this forum as a source to drag in more customers. I stay here because the people. Really, I could find a forum more geared towards the older Jags that I really know and service well, but y'all are just a hell of a lot of fun. I also read the X-type and S-type forums. You all are teaching me quite a bit. I hope I return the favor with some of my knowledge and, of course, will continue to support the site with paid advertising. Just don't expect too many techs to come along and willing hand over a lifetime of learning without compensation.

 

Yeah I knew that would never happen but it sure would be nice! Thus the at the end! That would be sweet though...get pat to pay a tech guy to just listen to all of our problems! Although for the most part almost every thing I've ever needed an answer for has already been answered by people on here....glad to hear you think were fun! Hey ken you can get shocks? If so what kinds can you get if there are more than 2 kinds out there?
BTW what kind of warranty come with the ones you get say at a dealer or local import store or say from you or jag_genius? I am used to the monroe's that come with a lifetime warranty...

You will do better warranty-wise with after market. The dealer will give you a one year warranty. Most of the aftermarkets are lifetime. What I find amazing is that the AM are the same ones the dealer sales. I don't know who makes the X or S type OE shocks, but the XJ's are Bilsteins. If you buy them at the dealer - one year. Buy Bilstein brand and they are lifetime! Go figure.
