Hello what preassure should my fuel pump be reading after changing the filter. Thank s

Hobbo, if you connect to the shraeder valve on the top of the engine, it should be reading about 50 psi with the key in the RUN position and the engine not turning or 40 psi with the engine running. If you are more than 5 psi under this, then you either have a blocked fuel line (if you turn off the engine and things are still low, then it is not a blocked line) or the fuel pump is starting to go and it is not able to build up sufficient pressure.

Thanks for that info.My pride and joy was running like a dream then started to lose all power. it would practically stop. if I turned it off it would be allright for a while or until I slowed down then the same thing, no power. I have just now replaced the fuel filter and it seems to have done the trick..fingers crossed.. thanks al and as a newby I have to say I love the forum.
