Hi all, my 2009 x type auto has recently thrown up gearbox and DSC faults on the dashboard, the gear selector sticks and is difficult to select drive. When in drive there is very little power, (It almost feels like it's in 4th gear and cannot accelerate uphill, reverse is fine,) the engine runs ok it has had new gearbox oil and a new turbo 6 months ago.
I've ran diagnostics and these are the fault codes that have came up
P0500
P1637
P1638
U1039
P179A
P132B
P1700
P1643
Ive tried disconnecting the battery and resetting it to no avail If anyone has any ideas what it could be or what I could try I would very much appreciate it as for the moment I am stuck without a car.

From the looks of things, I would venture to guess that you have1 of 2 problems. Either the tranny computer is failed and that is giving you all the errors, or someone has been inside the dash of your car recently and they have buggered up your CAN Bus connections to atleast the TCM, but potentially some other modules too.

 

Thanks for your reply. If it's just the ECU I'd be very happy. As your suggestion I've ordered a new ECU and been watching various you tube vids on installing it, should be here by the end of the week, I'll let you know how I get on, thanks again
