If your car is still not working correctly and the error code and his light friends are still hanging out in your dash - what exactly did you pay the mechanic to do? Usually when paying someone to swap out a tranny for you, the intent of said service is to get the car to run as it should, not just for the sake of a parts exchange.

Sounds to me like he didn't finish the job. Go get what you paid for.
