Default Gearbox Fault?

'02 2.5 auto, 74000 miles.
I was driving home last night on the expressway. It was pouring with rain. I was on cruise control at around 70 and had to slow down. I turned off the cruise and immediately went into limp mode. The announciator went red and displayed 'GEARBOX FAULT'. I pulled over, turned off the car, counted to ten, fired up again and it drove like normal. No warning lights and shifted normally. I drove the 10 miles home, about half expressway and half stop and go, without incident.

I haven't pulled any codes yet. I'll take the car out later today and see how it performs.
Does anyone have any ideas why it would do this? I never drive hard. I don't use sport mode. And if I have to overtake or accelerate I use the J Gate to downshift.

Concerned of Central Florida.

I drove the car all weekend with no problems. Freeway, stop 'n go. The car performed ok.
I'm due for a service soon. I'll get the folks at All Jaguar in Longwood to pull the codes and see what happened.
