Default Generator question

Does anyone know if an X-type 2,5l generator from 2003 will fit the same model from 2002?

Jagbits parts catalog only lists one alternator for the 2002 to 2008 x-types. It should fit just fine.

Nusse, all the X-Types use the same alternator. Get it and do not worry.

Not to pry but why are you replacing the alternator? I only ask because I have seen many an alternator replaced for charging concerns when the real issue is the positive battery cable.

Cheers,
Chris

I managed to short-circuit the alternator by accident and as a result the "diode bridge"? in the alternator burned. That´s why.
