Hi all, i know this has been discussed before but i didnt get the the answers i was looking for but can anyone tell me if i drill out the barrel on my glove box will it allow it to open?.When i bought the car recently from a dealer? he fitted a second hand glove box lid but did not tell me that if i locked it with the original car key that it would not open it again, and said dealer? now does not want to know,i guess once they have your money thats all their interested in,and as this is my first buy from a dealer ever its proved what friends and other have said about dodgy dealers.

I've moved your question from UK Region section to X-Type section. Members here with the same model will be able to advise about the Glove Box lock.

In fairness to the dealer, usually the only people who know you can lock the Glove Box with any key but only open it with the right one are those, like yourself, who have done just that.
