yea, i make good on pic promises, unlike some people with borla exhausts that will go unnamed....ahem....I will get them on by friday, and i might do theHID conversion that day too, depending if i get my overtime pay this week. Pics will follow shortly.

yea, i cant wait to hear how the x will sound with some better pipes. BUT FIRST!!! the shocks, going in hopefully tomorow morning = ). Then ill throw it around shea stadiums parking lot for a while to get a feel for them.

I put them on this morning. I recomend these shocks to anyone that wants to stiffen up their comfort suspended x-types. There is no squat and dive on acceleration or braking! The car is solid and stable in high speed curves and turns. These are the best upgrade i have done so far.

Man the advertised mitsubushi lancer at the top of the forum is sweeet. Look just like the one from the auto show this year. I drooled on that for about 20 mins.! Hey Envy you have anybody ride in the rear to find out if the car rubs at all with the 18x8's? How much did they cost ya?

Is it a lot stiffer, and i know ure cars not lowered, but do u think that they would work as well on a lowered x. They sound like they do the job. nice one on the upgrade

 

04x, yes, it is absolutly stiffer! these are the best shocks i've ever had on any car. they are still confortable, great dampening! but are stiff as hell at the same time. No squat/dive, they are perfect man. They transformed the way the car drives. shes like a real sports car now. with the 18x8's, so far (about 180 miles) i only got 1 rub when i came out of a driveway with a full tank of gas and someone in the back, so they dont rub like they used too. I still cant lower the car, but i dont care, she looks like sex the way she is. I got the shocks on shox.com for about 580, they are TOTALLY worth it. but i dont know if they work w/ the sport suspsension, you'll have to ask them, they are pretty knowledgeable. But 04xtype, you have to get these shocks!

Thanx for the info and the pics somekidz. I dont think these will be suitable for my car as i have it lowered, and as u say that it rubbed once, im guessin mine will be a lot worse. Also my wheel width is 8.5 so probably doesnt help. Im glad they work for you though.

 

yea, the 8.5 will probably be a problem, but even if they dont help with the rubbing, the ride will still be alot stiffer and more enjoyable. what ratio are your tires??
