Have a problem in my X-type 2005 estate. Had it from new, 50,000 miles. Drives like a dream apart from turning right (ok when turning left) when there is a grinding noise from within the rear offside wheel or transmission. Goes as soon as right turn finishes. Local regular garage cant find anything. Any ideas before I go to the main dealer.

 

Sounding like the CV joint is toast and under load it is grinding when put in a funny angle.
