In trying to replace a headlamp I destroyed the socket. Where can I get a replacement part? Thanks!

 

Jaguar sells them, but they are plastic junk.

If you want to take a little time for something better, there is a guy who advertises in Hemming's Motor News who makes his own parts. His ad is under Jaguar parts. You may find a recent copy at a large library or good bookstore.

 

Are you meaning the bulb connector? The electrical connector or the actual socket that the bulb fits into at the back of the headlamp assembly? If it's just the electrical connector (prone to melting) you should be able to source the two piece connector from somebody like ken@britishparts.com here on the forum.

 

yes it is the socket that the bulb fits into....I will try the Ken guy..thx
