This Manual is available on eBay; Haynes Manual Jaguar X Type Petrol Diesel 2001 2010 5631 NEW | eBay

But I would like to see the quality of information and content - before I'd buy.

I have it. Its pretty good if you dont know every nut and bolt on your car. Its like a how-to manual on how to fix different stuff on your car - from simple oil change to complete engine overhaul. I took a couple of pics on some random pages to get the idea. The entire book is pretty much like this except some wiring diagrams and other stuff in the end.

Hi Simo5555,
Thanks for showing some of the pages by photos.

Have you considered making a PDF of the entire book?

If you had that handy..... it could be shared here - for everyone

I bought one right after buying the xtype used. It's come in handy already. The photos are all black and white but do help me visualize what I am about to do. If you buy off amazon like I did it came from UK and took forever. I think it's great resource

I bought mine several months ago and fortunately haven't had use for it yet. Just looking through it, it seems pretty non mechanic friendly as most Haynes manuals I have dealt with are.

It's a pretty typical Hayne's manual; good stuff for the home tech. I personally like something in my hands rather than a pdf; but that's just me. The procedure for changing the oil pan gasket leaves out about six hours of stuff (the infamous covered bolt- they just tell you to remove it). Just one instance- might be the only one! Overall it's good; nice book to have.
