Just been published ...Ordered mine off Amazon ( UK) saved about 30% over Haynes own mail order price . Not sure when it will be available in North America....

Does JTIS not adequately cover the X-type?

I bet it would if I could get it to work on my computer. I gave up on it months ago. It would be nice to have a book I can grab quickly when I'm doing something instead of just figuring it out on my own after a while. I used to always by a Haines boom for whatever car I owned, if they had one.

Oh. Here's a 2800-page PDF that should include all the material on the X-Type from JTIS. Here's also a more official source, which may or may not be more up-to-date.

Haynes X-Type Manual from Amazon UK at £12.82 ($21.22):

Haynes X-Type Manual from Amazon US at $52.74 (£31.85):

That's some shipping charge to get them across the Atlantic!

And if purchased in Canada from Amazon.ca, $23.65 + $6.85 shipping. (?)

Given my miserable experience with Haynes and Chilton's manuals over the decades, I wouldn't buy them in the first place.

I understand your point Mikey,

But due to the love affair we share with this car, I think its nice to have a choice and as Fivespeed hints at having the material "at hand."

Plus, I don't have the dream GARAGE yet, with en-suite pc and printer and I have referred to the Haynes manuals in the past and learned a great deal, obviously when I didn't have access to this great site!!!

Thank you Gents!!! Stu

Cool for $30 Canadian - I'll have it on the shelf

just ordered mine from Amazon.ca - ok its just North of $30 but not too bad an item to have on the shelf for quick reference, delivery around end of April/early May seems like an eternity away - like a kid waiting for xmas!

Woah, the Haynes manual arrived in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada from Gloucester, UK today - well packaged and a free bookmark exceeded delivery expectations by a good 3 weeks.

Xmas came early
