Default Head Rest Removal

So I'm trying to put some sheepskin seat covers on and I can't get the headrests off on my X type. I've pushed and held the button the allows them to move up and down but they
don't come all the way out.

Is there something else I need to do?????

I too would like to know.

The wife and my last road trip, I tried to remove it to nap during her leg, but couldn't get it out after about 5 minutes of fighting it.

It takes three hands..two to push in on both tabs and one to raise the headrest.

On the side of the headrest rod mount, the one without the obviousdetent release button, push in on the flush mounted one and the main one at the same time and pull up on the headrest... voila it's off.
