Default Headlight Adjuster Gears

Hello everyone,

I just purchased a headlight adjuster kit off of ebay the one that brings the gears. They have a good video tutorial but they don't explain how to replace the gears. Anyone have any expierence with these? I cannot get them off.

I just did mine when I retrofitted them with projectors. I used a combination of a drill bit and pliers to break off the big gear from the threaded rod and it left the knurled portion sticking out of the back of the assembly. I then pushed the new gear on as far as I could with my fingers. Flipped the unit over to where it was face up with a board on the table behind the gear. I used a small deepwell socket with an extension on it to slide over the threaded rod till it bottomed out and used a hammer to sink the rod into the gear till it was flush with the outer edge of the gear. Worked great! It doesn't take much force. Good luck!
