My 04 x-type blows ice cold air or hot air whenever I change temperature. . Problem is its always on defrost. Won't move to vent or floor. I can change it from fresh to recirculate and that works fine... ive tried a few online remidies ive came across with no success. My biggest question really is is it the dash unit or something to do with the actuator motors and how big or painful of a job is it to repair?

 

Take the glove box out and the motors are right there, not to bad at all. I have some of these if you need one
