HELP 2004 X-type 2.5 manual P1338 P1637 P1699 Crank no start. Dashes on odometer
Please help. My xtype has these codes. Cranks and wont start. I replaces the fuel pump thinking that was the problem. Can an ABS sensor cause all this trouble ? I have ordered a fuel pump driver module and a crankshaft sensor. I really need some advice or the wife is going to make me get rid of it. Please advise.
Also. Once i replaced the pump. The car sat overnight with batt disconnected. I hooked it up and was able to drive 7 miles. **** the car off and now the dashes are back on the odometer. I have cleaned grounds and checked fuses. I'm sooo confused. Thanks
First = check the battery voltage, X's are particularly touchy about voltage.

Thanks for the insight. I did swap the battery with another. Still no change. I did have it running for a bit. When i shut it off after a 7 mile drive i had the same thing. This car is a trick to figure out. I'll keep trying 😖
